The International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations (FIGBA), Inc. is a federation of legitimate gamefowl breeders associations in the Philippines that promotes gamefowl breeding as a cultural, recreational and tourism activity. Currently, it has 37 member associations with 7,000 member-breeders. Originally, the federation was named National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (NFGB) which was registered with SEC in 2001. On July 31, 2014, the federation got the approval from the SEC for its new name FIGBA, Inc. with the intention of going global and opening its doors to international breeders by 2015. The Federation envisions itself as the country’s foremost gamefowl breeders organization that is dedicated and committed to promote the sport as an industry and a noble tradition, where gamefowl breeding is revered as a national pastime and a sport that depicts the true meaning of Honesty, Integrity and Fairplay.
